Appointments: Balet NdB, Balet NdM, Alvin Ailey, Texas Ballet Theatre
Balet NdB (Národní divadlo Brno) said on 14th September 2026 that Markéta Pimek Habalová will become Artistic Director of Balet NdB Ballet from the 2028-2029 season. The long-time member of the Czech company, ballet master, teacher and choreographer will replace Mário Radačovský.
Balet NdM (Národní divadlo moravskoslezské) said on 19th September 2026 that Francesco Pio Ricci Francesco joined the Czech company as a ballet master and répétiteur.
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre said on 17th September 2026 that singer-songwriter and Grammy award winner SZA will join its 2026 Opening Night Gala at New York City Center as Honorary Chair. The gala will take place on 2nd December.
Texas Ballet Theatre said in a press release on 17th September 2026 that Nicholas Dragga was appointed the company's next Executive Director effective 1st January 2027.
