ALVIN AILEY AMERICAN DANCE THEATER, the United States

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will hold auditions for professional dancers of all racial and ethnic backgrounds accomplished in modern, ballet, jazz, Horton, and Dunham techniques.


To apply, fill in the application form from this link and include the following materials:

  • Applicant's contact information (name, email, and phone number)

  • Resume

  • Headshot

  • Pre-Screening Video

    • The video must be uploaded to YouTube and a public or unlisted link must be provided in the form. We will not use your password to access the link.

    • The video must be no longer than 10 minutes.

    • The video must include the following: 

      • 4 ballet center combinations on both sides (adagio, pirouette, petite allegro, grand allegro).

      • 2 solos with contrasting styles and dynamics (excerpted if necessary) demonstrating a command of modern and contemporary dance languages. Solo material can be from past stage performances or recorded in the studio.


The application deadline is 2nd February. Invitations to the in-person auditions will be sent by 16th February.


In-person auditions will be held on16-17th March at The Joan Weill Center for Dance, 405 W 55th Street (at 9th Ave), New York, NY 10019.

THE RIJEKA BALLET COMPANY, Croatia

The Rijeka Ballet Company, under the new direction of Paolo Mangiola, is holding an audition for female and male identifying dancers.


Applicants must have a minimum of 3 year of professional dance experience and solid backgrounds in classical ballet and contemporary dance. Female dancers must feel confident with pointe work.


To apply, send two photos (face and body) a CV, including accurate height, as well as stating their current employee. Candidates will also need to send a video link of max 2 minutes at: balet@hnk-zajc.hr.


Only links on Vimeo and YouTube will be accepted.


Application Deadline is 17th February at 5pm GMT+1. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by 19th February.


Invitation-only in-person auditions will take place on Saturday 8th March at Rijeka Ballet studios, Ivan Zajc Croatian National Theatre, Rijeka.

OPERA NA ZAMKU W SZCZECINIE, Poland

The Ballet Company of Opera na Zamku w Szczecinie (The Castle Opera in Szczecin) is looking for dynamic and dedicated male dancers for Soloists and Corps de Ballet for the current 2024-2025 season, with contracts starting immediately.


Requirements:

  • applications by classically trained, professional male ballet dancers

  • ability to perform a variety of classical, neo-classical and contemporary repertoire

  • outstanding technique and qualities are a must

  • Minimum height 175cm

  • 1 headshot (in a separate picture file)

  • 2-3 dance photos in classical poses, contemporary poses are also welcome

The invitation to audition will be sent by Grzegorz Brożek the ballet manager of the Castle Opera in Szczecin. Auditions will be held individually.
