BALLETT ZÜRICH, Switzerland

Ballett Zürich is looking for the following dancers for the 2027-2028 season.


  • Main company dancers for Group/Solo Level (m/f/d)

  • Dancers for Junior Ballet (m/f/d)

  • Guest dancers for Group/Solo Level (m/f/d)

The auditions take place in the ballet studios at Zurich Opera House in December 2026 by invitation only.

THE NATIONAL BALLET OF CANADA and ALBERTA BALLET, Canada

The National Ballet of Canada and Alberta Ballet will hold both companies’ annual auditions under one roof for the first time. Over one weekend at The National Ballet of Canada’s studios in Toronto, the two companies will hold separate auditions so dancers can be considered for both organizations.⁠


The application deadline for the both company auditions is 1st December 2026. Selected applicants will receive a formal invitation to audition by email between 18th and 26th December 2026.


The audition for the National Ballet of Canada's nboc2 Apprentice Programme⁠ for the 2027-2028 season is open for dancers aged 17-21 years.

  • Video: A YouTube or Vimeo link with no introduction or elaborate editing. Female applicants should perform in a leotard and tights; male applicants should wear close-fitting dance attire. The video should include:

    • A short classical variation drawn from the standard repertoire, performed in pointe shoes by female applicants.

    • A short contemporary variation demonstrating a range of movement distinct from the classical variation. This may be drawn from repertoire, phrases from classwork or an applicant-created work.

  • CV: A .pdf, .doc or .docx file that includes your email address, postal address, height, date of birth, citizenship, training and performance experience.

  • Headshot

  • Dance photos: Two to three dance photos in .pdf format that clearly show the dancer’s body proportions and line.


A maximum of 60 candidates will be invited to audition in person on Sunday, 31st January 2027.

Alberta Ballet is looking for male and female dancers for the 2027-2028 season.

  • Link to a recent video with excerpts of classwork, one classical variation and one contemporary solo

OPERA BALLET VLAANDEREN, Belgium

Opera Ballet Vlaanderen is seeking dancers with a minimum of two years of professional experience for the 2026-2027 season.


Applicants must have a strong technical foundation in both ballet and contemporary techniques, and a high proficiency in improvisational skills.

HESSISCHE STAATSBALLETT, Germany

Hessische Staatsballett looking for experienced, versatile, and passionate dancers (m/f/d) to join our internationally acclaimed company for permanent and guest positions.


Applicant must:

  • have at least three years of professional stage experience

  • possess strong classical ballet technique as well as advanced skills in contemporary dance

  • feel comfortable with improvisation and are open to exploring new choreographic approaches

  • demonstrate artistic expression, stage presence, and adaptability

  • enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are open to continuous artistic development
