THE AUSTRALIAN BALLET, Australia

The Australian Ballet is holding company dancer auditions in London, the United Kingdom, and New York, the United States, for contracts to commence in the second half of 2025. Contracts are available for dancers with all levels of professional experience, both established and experienced artists, and those at the start of their careers.


Artistic Director David Hallberg said in his Instagram post;

"I’m excited to share that we’ll be expanding our artist ranks at @ausballet in the coming weeks ahead of the ambitious repertoire we have on the horizon!


I’ll be hosting auditions in the following cities, searching for exceptional talent to join us at The Australian Ballet:

  • Applicants contacted by Monday 7 July 2025

  • Invited dancers will attend auditions on Saturday 12 July 2025

  • Follow up interviews for selected candidates on Sunday 13 July 2025 (in person in London or remotely)

  • All dancers who attended the audition will be contacted by Friday 25 July 2025

THE ROYAL NEW ZEALAND BALLET, New Zealand

The Royal New Zealand Ballet is currently seeking a male company dancer with strong partnering skills for a company artist (corps de ballet) position for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Start date is flexible. In-person audition is by invitation only. The application deadline is not specified.


To be considered, email auditions@rnzb.org.nz with:

  • Your current resume

  • Headshot

  • 2-3 dance photos (.jpg format)

  • A link to video footage of a known classical variation, a contemporary work, and partnering/pas de deux work.

  • Video footage links should be YouTube or Vimeo links only


The company will also host a series of auditions for child extras for The Nutcracker in the 2025 season in August at multiple locations in the country.

  • Applicants must be a minimum of Grade 2 level

  • Maximum height restriction for all applicants is strictly 132cm for girls and 150cm for boys. No allowances will be made for those over the height limit.

  • All applicants must have good classical technique, be quick to learn and be confident on stage.

  • Applicants will be advised of their registration time after the application closing date.

  • A detailed rehearsal schedule for the production will be emailed to registered applicants before the audition day.

Please note: the application period for dance teachers to register appropriate students is strictly between 6th July – 20 July 2025.
