Australian Ballet promotes Davi Ramos to Principal

The Australian Ballet promoted Davi Ramos to a Principal Artist, the company said on 2nd May 2026.
Artistic Director David Hallberg announced the Brazilian dancer's promotion to the company's highest rank on stage at the Sydney Opera House in the day before immediately after his performance as Romeo in John Cranko's Romeo and Juliet.

Davi trained at The Royal Ballet School after receiving a Prix Lausanne scholarship in 2016. He was invited by Hallberg to join The Australian Ballet as a Soloist in 2024 from the Dutch National Ballet, where he was a Grand Sujet.
