Gary Avis joins London Children’s Ballet as Patron, Isabella Gasparini and Mayara Magri become Fonteyn Competition ambassadors

London Children’s Ballet announced it welcomed Gary Avis MBE as its new Patron, Ballet News reported on 26th March 2025.

Avis is Principal Character Artist and Senior Répétiteur of The Royal Ballet. He joined colleagues and fellow Patrons from the company – Lauren Cuthbertson, Steven McRae and Anna Rose O’Sullivan.

Meanwhile, Royal Academy of Dance said in its Instagram posts on 24th March that Isabella Gasparini and Mayara Magri as ambassador of The Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, which will be held in São Paolo, Brazil in October.

Gasparini is First Soloist and Magri is Principal of The Royal Ballet. They are both from Brazil, which is arguably the ballet powerhouse of South America.
