Le Ballet Preljocaj celebrated its 40th anniversary with one-day event at its home base, Pavillon Noir, in Aix-en-Provence, France, on 4th October 2025.
The event programme included the Rencontre avec Angelin Preljocaj (meet Angelin Preljocaj: a talk with the company founder himself), Les Duos Emblématiques d’Angelin Preljocaj (performances of the iconic pas de deux from his works including Le Parc) and open classes.
All programmes were free admission, except for the company performance of Gravité.
Le Ballet Preljocaj was funded in December 1984 by Angelin Preljocaj. Today, the company is one of the finest contemporary dance companies in the world and he is one of the most sought-after choreographers.
