Mariinsky Theatre promotes Alexander Sergeev to Principal

The Mariinsky Theatre announced on 3rd May 2026 that Alexander Sergeev was promoted to a Principal Dancer.

Sergeev graduated from the Vaganova Academy into the Mariinsky Ballet in 2004. Since 2010, he had been a Soloist, the press release said.
