National Ballet of Canada: Heather Ogden's last Swan (not swan song), 2025-2026 season

National Ballet of Canada announced that Principal Dancer Heather Ogden will dance Odette/Odile in Swan Lake one last time in March 2025.


But it will be not her swan song. Ogden will remain with the company as Principal, the Toronto-based company said on 10th February.


Ogden, a Toronto-native who has been Principal since 2005, will perform on 15th and 18th March. For the main casting of Swan Lake, click here.

Separately, National Ballet of Canada announced the 2025-2026 season on 19th February. The new season includes the world premiere Procession, a new full-length contemporary work by renowned choreographic duo Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber.


They company will also perform Christopher Wheeldon's The Winter's Tale, Crystal Pite's Flight Pattern (North American premiere), James Kudelka's The Nutcracker, which will tern 30 years old, Serge Lifar’s Suite en Blanc, Wayne McGregor’s MADDADDAM and others.
