The San Francisco Chronicle newspaper published an interview with Isaac Hernández on 22nd February. The focal point of the interview was Dream, a feature film in which he played an immigrant dancer opposite Jessica Chastain and which was shot when he was a Principal Dancer with San Francisco Ballet. It also covered a wide range of topics from dancing at The Kennedy Center very recently to leaving and going back to the company, then leaving again to join American Ballet Theatre. The newspaper ran a review about the film a couple of days prior if you are curious.
Belatedly, the U.S.-based Dance Magazine published 25 to Watch for 2026 in January.
The Guardian newspaper run a feature piece on 3rd March about retirees in the UK, who have discovered the joy of dancing, ahead of the Let's Dance day on 8th March. Let's Dance is a campaign to encourage the UK "to embrace dance as a way to improve their health, connect with others, and have fun," its website says.
The Guardian also published a review praising Ballet Black's double bill, which marks the London-based company's 25-year anniversary, at Linbury Theatre, The Royal Opera House. It concluded, "Resistance and hope in one evening of dance – in current times, that’s a gift."
Misty Copeland shared some visuals on Instagram on 25th February about her recovery from the recent hip replacement surgery. Get well soon!
Ludmila Pagliero, who retired from the stage as Paris Opera Ballet's Étoile in April 2025, joined the company's management team as Associate Artistic Coordinator, she said in January in her Instagram post.
