Northern Ballet shares images of Gentleman Jack rehearsals, announces new guest dancer

Northern Ballet shared some images of Gentleman Jack, which has been in the creation process, in its news post on 22nd of October 2025.
Gentleman Jack is being created by choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. It is based on the life of historical Yorkshire figure Anne Lister, or ‘Gentleman Jack’ (1791-1840), who is known as the modern lesbian.
It is Northern Ballet's first original full-scale ballet since 2021 and the first under Artistic Director Federico Bonelli. It will world-premiere in March 2026.
Separately, Leo Godfrey has joined Northern Ballet as a guest artist, the Leeds, the UK, - based company said in its Instagram post on 30th October. Leo, who has recently completed company's professional graduate programme, will start performing on stage from The Nutcracker in December.
