Paris Opera Ballet announces 2026-2027 season

Paris Opera Ballet announced its 2026-2027 season on 28th March 2026. You can watch the full presentation session on YouTube.


The new season covers a wide variety of ballet staples and modern and contemporary dance, showcasing the strength of the company.


Among the new creations, the highlights may be Boléro X - world premiere by Shahar Binyamini, a choreographer trained at The Batsheva Dance Company and the newly interpreted Giselle by Johan Inger.


On the historical note, the season features Lamentation, an iconic solo created in 1930 by Martha Graham, whose eponymous company celebrates its centennial in 2026. Graham also co-founded The Batsheva Dance Company in 1964.

Additionally, the visiting The Tokyo Ballet performs Kaguyahime in May 2027.


The season marks the last one for the Palais Garnier before the planned temporary shutdown for renovations. It will close from summer 2027 to summer 2029. For more details, click here.
