The Raymond Chai Ballet Intensive will return to The Royal Opera House studios in London, the UK, on 11-12th July 2026.
London-based ballet master and choreographer Raymond will teach ballet class to refine our technique, alignment, musicality and artistry; men’s virtuoso; and pointe technique for ladies during the two-day summer intensive.
There will be pas de deux sessions and repertoire based on the ballet Onegin. All sessions will be accompanied by a live musician.

The workshops are open for everyone, from young adults to adult ballerinas, from advanced beginner-intermediate levels to advanced/pre-pro. Basic knowledge of ballet terms and some experience may be necessary. The most importantly, Raymond says the workshops will be lots of fun!
About Raymond - Originally from Malaysia, Raymond is the world’s first about many ballet and dance fronts. His rich experiences cross over ballet, musical, film, television and choreography: he performed with Companhia Nacional de Bailado (the National Ballet of Portugal), Cats the Musical and numerous other theatre productions across the globe. He was also the ballet master of the highly acclaimed Ballet Black in London, the UK, for many years.
Now, Raymond is one of the most coveted ballet teachers and choreographers in the UK and internationally, training professionals, pre-professionals and recreational dancers. His classes are known for being inclusive yet technically focused.
Raymond taught me quite many years in London. So I know as a first hand experience that he has a unique ability to host a mixed-level class and accommodate everyone. Everyone feels being well looked after by him in his class.
