Scottish Ballet appoints Oliver Rydout to Deputy Artistic Director

Oliver Rydout has been appointed to the role of Deputy Artistic Director of Scottish Ballet, the Glasgow-based company announced on 25th October 2025 in its Instagram post.
Rydout's appointment has been reflected on the company's website. Congratulations!
According to his biography page, Rydout joined Scottish Ballet upton graduating The Royal Ballet School and danced with the company for six years.
Following a four-year stint with Maki Asami Ballet and The National Ballet of Japan in Tokyo, he returned to Scottish Ballet and danced various roles.
In 2017, Rydout became Rehearsal Director and Director of Dance & Artistic Development in 2023.
