Élisabeth Platel celebrates 20 years as Paris Opera Ballet School director

Élisabeth Platel is celebrating her 20 year anniversary as Director of Paris Opera Ballet School (Ecole de Danse) this 2024-2025 season.

Opéra National de Paris published a news editorial about Platel's career as ballet dancer and school director on 24th April 2025.

Platel joined Paris Opera Ballet as Corps de Ballet in 1976 and became Étoile in 1981. She officially bid farewell in 1999 but danced as a guest Étoile a few times until 2003.

Since 2004, she has been the head of the Paris Opera Ballet School.
