ABT promotes Jake Roxander to Principal

American Ballet Theatre (ABT) promoted Jake Roxander to the rank of Principal Dancer, the company said in a news release on 3rd July 2026.


The promotion was announced on the same day by ABT Artistic Director Susan Jaffe on stage at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, the United States, following the evening performance of Jaffe's new Don Quixote, in which Roxander made a role debut as Basilio.


Roxander is currently a Soloist. His promotion is effective 1st September.


He will dance the role of Aminta in Sylvia on 10th July. Click here for the casting for the ABT summer season 2026.
