NEDARLENDS DANS THEATER, the Netherlands

Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) has opened the registration process for auditions for NDT1 and NDT2 for the 2027-2028 season.


NDT1

Applicants for NDT1 must have a minimum of 3 years of professional company experience and must be at least 23 years old, or born before or on 12th January 2004.

  • CV

  • A short motivational statement up to 300 characters

  • Audition video up to 10 minutes including excerpts of contrasting contemporary repertoire and 1 to 2 minutes of uninterrupted improvisation that displays contrasting phrasing, dynamics, and use of space.

NDT2

Applicants must be dancers aged between 17 and 23 (born between 12th January 2004 and 13th August 2009). They must have finished, or be in the graduation year of a professional dance training programme.


Dancers with Dutch nationality who will be in their graduating year of a professional dance training program in the 2027 - 2028 season can apply to audition for a full season internship contract. Follow the same online audition application procedure.

The application deadline is 00:00 on Sunday, 18th October 2026. Results will be emailed by 4th December.


Pre-selected dancers will be invited to in-person auditions on 16th-17th January 2027 in The Hague.

SCOTTISH BALLET YOUTH EXCHANGE, the United Kingdom

Scottish Ballet is accepting applications for its Youth Exchange 2026-2027 programme.


The programme is designed for dancers aged 14-24, who aspire to a career in the dance industry. You must be able to travel to the Scottish Ballet Headquarters in Glasgow for sessions on a Tuesday evening as well as a limited number of weekend sessions throughout the year. Participation in Youth Exchange will require a one-off fee of £100.

MILWAUKEE BALLET, the Untied States

Milwaukee Ballet is seeking a male dancer to fill an immediate vacancy for the 2026-2027 season, with contract starting 21st September 2026.


Applicants must have prior professional experience and must be 5'10" or taller.

  • Links to performance and studio footage must include:

    • A video with no introduction or fancy editing, consisting of the following performed in tight-fitting dance attire.

    • A short classical variation drawn from the standard repertoire, danced in pointe shoes by female applicants.

    • A short contemporary variation (that could consist of something drawn from the repertoire, phrases from classwork, or an applicant-created work) that illustrates the applicant’s command of a range of movements different from that demonstrated in the classical variation.

    • 3-5 minutes of center work that includes adagio, pirouettes, petit, and grand allegro.

    • 3-5 minutes of classical partnering that includes adagio, pirouettes, and presage.

  • Resume, to include:

    • Performance experience, training, height, awards received, and citizenship.

    • Specify your legal status in the US if applicable.

    • All contact information.

  • Headshot

  • 2-3 dance photos  – must reveal the dancer’s body proportions and line.
