Australian Ballet announces joiners and promotion

The Australian Ballet announced three joiners on 12th February 2025.

Samuel Akins, Olivia Harris and Matthew Paten has joined the Melbourne-based company this year as members of corps de ballet.

Belatedly, Artistic Director David Hallberg announced eleven promotions in mid-December 2024.

They are:

Yichuan Wang – from corps de ballet to coryphée

Annabelle Watt –from corps de ballet to coryphée

Joseph Romancewicz – from corps de ballet to coryphée

Belle Urwin – from corps de ballet to coryphée

Benjamin Garrett – from corps de ballet to coryphée

Elijah Trevitt – from corps de ballet to coryphée

Samara Merrick – from corps de ballet to coryphée

Grace Carroll – from corps de ballet to coryphée

Serena Graham – from corps de ballet to coryphée

Drew Hedditch – from coryphée to soloist

Davi Ramos – from soloist to senior artist
