Christian Spuck awarded German Dance Award 2026

Tanz Deutschland e.V. has awarded Deutscher Tanzpreis (German Dance Award) 2026 to Christian Spuck, Artistic Director of Staatballett Berlin (Berlin State Ballet).

The organisation also announced on 17th June 2025 that Butoh dancer Tadashi Endo, who passed away in May, was posthumously honoured with a lifetime achievement award, and that Professor Dr Gabriele Brandstetter, Professor of Dance Studies, received the award for outstanding development in dance.

The award ceremony will take place on 28th February 2026.
