Dutch National Ballet: Anna Ol wins Alexandra Radius Prize, Powney named as Junior Co artistic director

Dutch National Ballet Principal Anna Ol has been awarded Alexandra Radius Prize 2025, the company announced on 11th September 2025.

The prize was announced by Alexandra Radius herself at the premiere of the Monument triple bill, which opened the 2025-2026 season.

 "The jury praised her for her technical brilliance and aesthetic perfection," the company said on its social media posts.

As a personal note, I watched Anna in The Green Table and Other Dances (see the YouTube clip below). She is petite, but shines on stage with her precise techniques. Congratulations!

Separately, Dutch National Ballet announced on 9th September that Christopher Powney has been appointed as the new artistic director of Dutch National Ballet’s Junior Company.

Powney will assume the positions as of 1st January 2026. He will replace Ernst Meisner, who will become the director of Dutch National Ballet on 1st August 2026, succeeding Ted Brandsen.
