Dutch National Ballet: Salome Leverashvili promoted to Principal

The Dutch National Opera & Ballet said on 12th November 2025 that Salome Leverashvili was promoted to a rank of Principal Dancer.

Artistic Director Ted Brandsen announced the promotion the day before on stage immediately after the Georgian dancer's final performance as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, the company said in its Instagram post.

The promotion has been reflected on the Dutch National Ballet's website.

Salome trained at Vakhtang Chabukiani State Ballet School in Tbilisi, Georgia. She joined the Dutch National Ballet Junior Company in 2016. She became a corps member of the main company in 2018 then rose through the ranks.
