English National Ballet celebrates ENB75, announces guest artists

English National Ballet (ENB) is celebrating its 75th season with ENB@75 Digital Celebration.
According to its history page, ENB started off as the Gala Performance of Ballet in 1950 with Alicia Markova and Anton Dolin, along with impressario Julian Braunsweg. The company was renamed London's Festival Ballet in the following year then the London Festival Ballet. In 1989, the company became the English National Ballet.
Many interesting movie clips are available from the Digital Stage page, with my favorites Giselle from 1950 to 2015 and Swan Lake Through the Years, as well as the underrated Creature. This interactive map also shows the amazing history of ENB as a touring company.
ENB@75 Digital Celebration is available until 31st July 2025. It is an enjoyable online archive. Worth a look.
Separately, ENB announced on 17th July that Alice Mariani, Prima Ballerina at La Scala, and Ricardo Castellanos, Principal Dancer at the Norwegian National Ballet will join the company as the principal guest artists for the 2025-2026 season.
