Staatsballett Berlin extends Artistic Directo Spuck's contract

Staatsballett Berlin (Berlin State Ballet) extended the contract with Artistic Director Christian Spuck by five years, the German company said on 19th October 2026 in a news release.

Spuck's current contract runs until 31st July 2028. With the extension, he will remain in the position until 31st July 2033. He has been the artistic director of the company since 1st August 2023.

The Board of Trustees of the Stiftung Oper in Berlin approved the contract extension at its meeting on 8th October, the company said.
