Exclusive: World Ballet Day 2025 is on!

Dear ballet enthusiasts across the globe, behold! The World Ballet Day (WBD) will return this year!

Last week, I noticed the status of the World Ballet Day website had changed to "private" while the same page showed "expired" in September.

So I contacted the press office of The Royal Ballet, which has organised WBD with The Australian Ballet and San Francisco Ballet, on 6th October 2025. The press office promptly replied, "Details for WBD will be announced shortly."

So, there will be the World Ballet Day 2025. How exciting! I will keep you updated as quickly as possible and as much as possible.

Last year, the organisers took a break after WBD's ten year run, leaving us heartbroken. The Birmingham Royal Ballet, the English National Ballet and the Northern Ballet quickly pulled together Celebration of Ballet to console us.

Beware that the same Instagram account, which claimed to be the World Ballet Day account and spread wrong information about it last year, is still active, and that Google's AI overview is still picking up the wrong information about this year from the seemingly-bogus account.
