The National Ballet of Canada announces promotions for 2026-2027, leavers and retirements

The National Ballet of Canada announced two promotions for the 2026-2027, leavers and retirements in a media release issued on 16th June 2026.

Promotions

• Isaac Wright to First Soloist

• Tene Ward to Second Soloist

Leavers

• Principal Dancer Siphesihle November to join Dutch National Ballet (announced by Dutch National Ballet in May)

• Corps de Ballet member Jason Ferro to pursue other opportunities

Retirements

• First Soloist Jenna Savella (previously announced)

• Second Soloists Kathryn Hosier

• Second Soloist Miyoko Koyasu

• Corps de Ballet Trygve Cumpston
