Mariinsky: Philipp Stepin promoted to Principal

The Mariinsky Theatre announced on 18th January 2025 that Philipp Stepin was promoted to Principal Dancer.

Stepin was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, into a ballet family. He graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in 2005 (class of Boris Bregvadze) into the Mariinsky Ballet. He was promoted to Soloist in 2009.
