Misty Copeland signs talent management agency, moving further into film industry

Misty Copland, Principal of the American Ballet Theatre, signed with Range Management, a Santa Monica, California, -based talent management agency.

The Hollywood Reporter reported the signing on 5th February 2025 as an exclusive. “Signing with Range Media Partners comes as Copeland continues a transition from the ballet stage to the big screen,” it said.

Peter Micelli, the CEO of Range Management, announced the signing on his Instagram post;

Misty Copeland is the renowned principal dancer with @abtofficial, who made history when she became the first black woman promoted to that position in the company’s 75 year history. Beyond her prodigious dancing career, Copeland is also an author, activist, philanthropist, role model, producer, and more. Couldn’t be more excited to represent her in all areas!”

Misty continues to be represented by Innovative Artists and Del Shaw Moonves, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Misty has already made a foray into the film industry, producing and acting in a short film. She has also authored books.
