New York City Ballet announces promotions with the first African American female soloist -media

New York City Ballet announced that six dancers were promoted to Soloists from corps de ballet members, Broadway World reported on 9th October 2025.
They are: Victor Abreu, Dominika Afanasenkov, India Bradley, Naomi Corti, Mary Thomas MacKinnon and Andres Zuniga.
With her promotion, India has become the first African American woman to become a Soloist in the history of New York City Ballet.
