Osipova/Linbury - The Guardian runs image gallery

The Royal Ballet runs the Osipova/Linbury programme in its Linbury Theatre for 6-10 March 2025.

For those people who cannot travel to Covent Garden in London, including myself, The Guardian newspaper published an image gallery featuring studio and stage rehearsals on 5th March. All photographs were taken by Tristram Kenton.

Personal note: I went to see a programme of the Linbury Theatre soon after it was refurbished and reopened — I cannot remember if the Open Up project was still on. The programme featured Alessandra Ferri and Herman Cornejo. It was such an intimate setting I could hear the prima ballerina assoluta’s breath and see her sweat. And her toes up close.

The interior of the Linbury Theatre is meticulously constructed and breathtakingly beautiful. It is nice to see one of the newest theatres NOT constructed with visible concrete, pipes and glass.
