Paris Opera Ballet cancels Paquita and Play on 20 December

Opéra national de Paris has cancelled the ballet performances of Paquita and Play scheduled for 20st December 2024.
Paquita and Alexander Ekman’s Play, which is sold out, have been stymied by cancellations due to strikes this month.
Earlier cancellations of the Paris Opera Ballet performances were due to the strike action by dancers. Following the brief resumption of the shows last week, the further cancellations of the ballet, as well as opera Rigoletto, this week have been caused by a new set of a strike “involving some staff at the Paris Opera.”

For 21st December, Paris Opera Ballet School’s performances (Démonstrations de l'École de Danse), Play and Paquita’s public rehearsal and a show are scheduled.
