Hong Kong Ballet said on 8th July that Albert Gordon was promoted to a Principal Dancer for the 2026-2027 season. He is currently a Soloist.
Dance Theatre of Harlem said Michael Shavelle, Andre McGregor II and Amber Harper will join the company for the 2026-2027 season. Shavelle already performed with the company in the 2025-2026 season as a guest artist.
The Washington Ballet said in a press release on 9th July that Doug Singleton has been appointed Executive Director. As of the 2025-2026 season, Jason Palmquist serves as Interim Executive Director. The company will celebrate its 50th year anniversary in the 2026-2027 season.
Houston Ballet said in a press release on 25th June that Danbi Kim was promoted to a Principal Dancer on 21st June.
Ballet Nacional Chileno said on 16th June Avatâra Ayuso would become Artistic Director as of September.
The National Ballet of Canada paid tributes to retiring Orchestra members in its Instagram post on 29th June. Gary Pattison, Horn, retires after 50 years. Jayne Maddison, Violin, retires after 36 years. Paul Widner, Cello, retires after 35 years. Toi toi toi!
