Renato Zanella has become the new artistic director of Ballet of Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Italy's oldest continuously active theatre said in a press release on 2nd January 2026. The appointment has been reflected on its website. He succeeded Clotilde Vayer.
Philadelphia Ballet's Thays Golz was promoted to Principal Dancer, the company said on 29th December 2025.
Scottish Ballet's Yuri Marques was promoted to Principal, the company said on 7th January 2026.
The National Ballet of Canada said on 9th January 2026 that Clare Peterson has left the company after 11 years with the company.
Yorkshire Ballet Seminars said on 9th December 2025 that Isabelle Brouwers joined the school as the new artistic director. The appointment followed her retirement from English National Ballet.
The John Cranko Schule welcomed Elisa Carrillo Cabrera and Mikhail Kaniskin as Director and Associate Director, respectively, on 1st January 2026. Cabrera's appointment was announced in March last year.
Alexis Oliveira and Julie Thiraul has joined Semperoper Ballett as new ballet masters, the company said on 29th December 2025.
The Joffrey Ballet's rehearsing director Nicholas Blanc will step down from his position at the end of the current 2025-2026 season after 15 years with the company to become a full-time choreographer, he said on 10th December 2025.
Fabianne Cerutti retired from l’École de Danse as a teacher following the school performance in mid-December 2025, Paris Opera Ballet said on 9th January 2026. Cerutti joined the school in 1971 and joined the company in 1981. Altogether, she spent more than fifty years with the school and Paris Opera Ballet.
Jutta Mustakallio retired from The Finnish National Ballet as Ballet Production Planner, the company said on 29th November 2025. She started her career with the company in 1974.
