Promotions, retirement, joiners, leavers: Texas Ballet Theater, Norwegian National Ballet, The Australian Ballet, Bayerisches Junior Ballett

Texas Ballet Theater announced company dancer promotions for the 2026-2027 season in mid-May 2026.

• Rieko Hatato promoted to Principal

• Samantha Pille promoted to Principal

• Jackson Bayhi promoted to Soloist

• Adam Phillips promoted to Soloist

• Hannah Wood promoted to Soloist

• Alyssa Ramirez promoted to Apprentice

The Norwegian National Ballet said on 14th June 2026 that Principal Dancer Melissa Hough retired from the stage following her performance in Romeo and Juliet in the day earlier. She danced with the company for 13 years.

The Australian Ballet Soloist Mia Heathcote will leave the company and move to Switzerland in August to join Ballett Zürich, she announced in her Instagram post on 13th June 2026.

Mark Sims, currently a dancer with Bayerisches Junior Ballett in Germany, will join Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo in Monaco for the next season, he said in its Instagram post on 6th June 2026.
