Retirement: Itziar Mendizabal, Caroline Roca, Olga Konosenko, Guillaume Côté, Patryk Walczak

The Royal Ballet's First Soloist will retire from the stage and join the Royal Ballet School's Upper School as a teacher in the next school year, the school announced on 23rd June 2025. The Spanish ballerina will take a final bow on 28th June 2025 as the Queen of Hearts in Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. She joined The Royal Ballet in 2010, spending 15 years with the company out of her 28-year career as a professional ballet dancer.

Caroline retired from the Norwegian National Ballet after dancing with the Oslo-based company for 23 years, the company said on its Instagram post on 11th June 2025.


Prima Ballerina of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre took a final bow on 15th June 2025 after 29 years with the company. Her final performance was Queen Bona Sforza in Barbora Radvila.


The National Ballet of Canada's Principal took a final bow on 5th June 2025 after 26 years with the company. The company posted a movie clip of his emotional farewell on its Instagram. He will continue to be engaged in ballet through his own projects, Côté Danse and Festival des arts de Saint-Sauveur.


The Polish National Ballet's Principal will retire after the final show of Prometheus on 28th June 2025 after 15 years with the company. He will dance the title role, Prometheus.
