Semperoper Ballett promotes Elena Karpuhina to Principal

Semperoer Ballett Germany, said on 4th July 2026 that Elena Karpuhina was promoted from a Soloist to a Principal Dancer.

Artistic Director Kinsun Chan announced her promotion following her role debut as Tatiana in John Cranko's Onegin on 3rd July, the Dresden, Germany, -based company said in its Instagram post.

Karpuhina joined Semperoper Ballett in 2015 from Bayerisches Staatsballett in Munich.

Congratulations!

She will dance the role of Tatiana again on 10th July.
