Stuttgart Ballet announces departures of Mackenzie Brown, Matteo Miccini

The Stuttgart Ballet announced the departures of two Principal Dancers, Matteo Miccini and Mackenzie Brown, in its Instagram posts.

Matteo Miccini's final performance with the German company was the role of Lenski in John Cranko's Onegin on 24th July 2026. Matteo, who had been with the company since 2015, will join Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo in Monaco in the next season.

Mackenzie Brown danced the role of Olga on 26th July. She became a Guest Principal Dancer in the 2025-2026 season as she relocated to her home country the United States following her wedding. Mackenzie, the gold medal winner of the 2019 Prix Lausanne, joined The Stuttgart Ballet in 2020-2021. She was promoted to a Principal Dancer in October 2023. The company did not mention her next move.

I hope to follow up on the phenomenal Mackenzie. I personally have not gotten an opportunity to see Mackenzie on stage yet. Hopefully, I will get to see her at one point. Fingers crossed.
