Susan Lucas student support fund set up

The family of late Susan Lucas is asking for a donation to a ballet education organisation in lieu of flowers.

The former Birmingham Royal Ballet First Soloist and dedicated teacher passed away in May 2026.

The donation will be made in her name to The Cecchetti Society Trust, a charity organisation in England to support ballet students and promote the art of classical ballet in particular the Cecchetti Method of ballet training created by Enrico Cecchetti.

The trust's website also says a memorial service will be held at Birmingham Cathedral on Monday 29th June 2026 at 2.30pm. All are very welcome to attend.
