LaScala TV, the online streaming platform of Italy's Teatro alla Scala, went free as of 1st September 2026.

That means you can watch all titles in the platform for free of charge after a simple sign-up from anywhere in the world. The titles include 44 opera productions (31 recent opera productions, 13 historic recordings), eight ballets, 26 concerts, educational movies and behind-the-scens.

The move to remove a paywall from LaScala TV is part of a wider strategy at the Fondazione Teatro alla Scala to reach wider audience. It is supported by the platform's principal sponsor, Intesa Sanpaolo, acccording to Gramilano.

The content is expected to expand, Gramilano's article on 31st August said.
