Vienna State Ballet announces dancer promotions for 2026-2027 season

Vienna State Ballet (Wiener Staatsballett) promoted five dancers effective the start of the upcoming 2026-2027 season, the company said in a news release on 30th June 2026.
Natalia Butchko, Alessandro Cavallo, Duccio Tariello and Rinaldo Venuti were promoted to Soloist from a rank of Demi-soloist.
Chiara Uderzo was promoted to a Demi-soloist from a corps de ballet.
Artistic Director Alessandra Ferri announced these promotions in the day before after this year’s Ballet Gala on stage of Vienna State Opera. The gala was dedicated to Frederick Ashton.
