Kyle Abraham renames his company

Renowned U.S. choreographer and dancer Kyle Abraham's company renamed itself and revealed the new look of its website on 25th September 2026.

The company's new name is Kyle Abraham Dance Vanguard.

Dance Magazine published an interview with Abraham on 28th September about the name change. He said, "That word has army references, and I think we do need to fight. We need to come together and fight for change, fight for the arts."

He also told the magazine that the name is "a nod" to the late R&B artist D’Angelo and his band, The Vanguard.

It is not the first time the company has changed names, according to Dance Magazine. Abraham launched it in 2005 as Abraham.In.Motion and renamed it to A.I.M by Kyle Abraham in 2019.
